Another personality? January 20, 2008

Filed under: Agnes — agnesk @ 9:11 pm

Yes, maybe potential-step-father from the looks of it.

Changes thus far:
- salty salty foods
- replacing beautiful Itzchak Tarkay paintings with ugly paintings or photos (by him)
- awkward conversations followed by my mother scolding me afterwards for my attitude
- unable to fall asleep because they are always talking/ cooking/ washing/ drinking/ being present
- mother disappears on random trips to the States
- no more normal exchanges of words with my mother in any context, thus, losing touch with everything that has to do with each other’s lives
- increased consumption in a general sense: more pieces of clothing (unappealing ones, might I add), foods: juice, juice, juice, nasty juice, meat, meat, meat, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, alcohol, emphasis on alcohol, cellphone,… the only one I might enjoy later is the stereo system.

Simply in the way I’m analyzing this… it seems like I’ve drawn myself away from the situation mentally.

I don’t know what to do about it and so I won’t.

I just want to skip all these years of depending on my mother and then proceed with eloping, conceiving, and dying.

Ok. When you start eating cellphones, things have turned dire.

I’m with you on the eloping thing.

Also, for the last three days I’ve been having fast food (!!) for the main meal of the day (except for today when I went out for lunch in Gastown and passed 33 water street and, like, died) and then feel like a whale and get incredible headaches and feel scurvish. The last time I had fast food was in Marrakech… maybe I can no longer digest it and its FAKENESS.

People ask me what I’m doing right now and when I don’t say school they look disappointed and kind of revolted… seriously? Clearly people have this steely mindset on how lives should play out and when yours outs the groove they are shocked and can no longer communicate with me when I say I’m having a great time. I get a similar reaction when I say I went to Morocco and not, say, Mexico. “What? Why? Is it dangerous?”

People are stupid. And not lacking in intelligence. They refuse to want to learn and to accept. That’s real stupidity.

I say, “COME OOOON!!!! NATURAL SELECTION!”

    Dear Darwin,
    save us,
    the Intellectuals.

Ugh, that sounds terrible Agnes. No good. He is getting comfy too fast. Paintings and photographs by him are uncalled for. No!

If this were an afterschool special, I’d say, “Talk to your mother about it. Tell her how you feel.” But we all know things aren’t that easy.

    I wish you luck.
Eloping is the way to go… probably.

I agree with Suzie. Since you have described him in a revolting manner, he must thusly be REVOLTING. And, thusly (again) his art and any art he chooses must be revolting. And all of the art in your place was !!!. I thusly DISMISS this person. From life. Thusly.

dismiss the man but don’t be losing respect for yourself there. your list of increased consumptions… pains me. the guy’s revolting. the end. now YOU have get back your joie de vie woman… before you start eating cellphones.
